Welcome to The NEW
Armour Uk
military vehicle web site.

What's New:
Well after threatening a new website in 2005 I have finally got round to doing it. A New dedicated server and web address, Hundreds of new photographs in a standardized format. The use of thumbnails to cut down on page download times due to the quantities of pictures. Vehicles are in alphabetical order rather than by country as it got confusing when a British vehicle turns up on the Swiss page etc. All British postwar vehicles where possible will display the Army registration number under the picture which will help ex-service men to identify there old charges. Oh and F11 works best with this website.
Requests for pictures:
If you would like an electronic copy of any
of the pictures please feel free to contact me as nine times out of ten
the original is a lot better/bigger than the one on display,
either obtain the picture number from the picture properties and/or let
me know which page it is displayed on and I will freely send you a copy.
My passion for military vehicles [with some exceptions] all started when as a youngster I was taken to several army open days where at one I was allowed to explore the insides of a Chieftain Tank. It was further heightened in my teens when I was on holiday in Norfolk where we were staying at a campsite overlooking the Muckleburgh Collection which I visited several times. I finally fell for these metal brutes when I visited Bovington Tank Museum when I walked into the main hall between a King Tiger and a Panther, I was so exited and in awe of the size of these vehicles I got the shakes and all the pictures I took came out blurred. Since then I was introduced to IWM, Duxford by my uncle and I now try to go there at least once or twice a year. My aim is now to get pictures of every military vehicle on show within the United Kingdom which should keep me going for several years. My other passion is war gamming which has produced a liking for the Danish and Swedish Armed Forces mainly I suppose because they have used Centurions which do look good with the camouflage and modifications made to them.
The pictures within this site spans from as early as 1988 when I got my first Zenith camera which I still have but has been replaced by a more up to date Minolta camera, hence the quality of the pictures have improved over the years but some times the camera gets the better off me. I have supplemented my 35mm with a digital camera which I am not really happy with but sometimes it comes in handy.
Having owned only briefly a BV202 Snow cat I can not see myself loosing interest in this hobby anytime in the near future and can see my photo collection and this web site expanding over a long period of time. I hope that you enjoy looking at the pictures and are able to put up with any drivel that I care to type onto the pages. Any questions or comments or rectifications are welcome, so feel free to e-mail me . Email .
